Pretty good book. Greene explores some really great and interesting concepts that help you understand yourself and others better. The knowledge you obtain has heaps of applicability throughout all areas of your life. Work, school, romantic relationships, and friendships.

I also like the structure he uses, first providing a historical example to illustrate each “law”, and then referring back to that example when explaining the psychological mechanisms behind it.

The only reason I wouldn’t give it 5 stars is because it’s unnecessarily long and can feel like it’s dragging on sometimes for no real good reason. It’s a chunky book and it required a few breaks. Also, he probably does embellish some of the historical examples he uses to support his points.

Regardless, still a great read and I would definitely recommend. You will almost certainly learn many new and interesting things about psychology and human nature.

Great book. Lost me a bit in the middle but the last few chapters really pulled me back in

This books is masterfully crafted. Robert Greene has a wonderful talent of distilling the intricacies and complexities of life in a digestible and thought provoking manner. I plan to reference this book and its context many times in the coming months and years. Might even have to become an annual Read!
