For the first half of the book I was worried this would end like the movie The Visit. It had similarities but in the end I was very pleased with how the book turned out.

After their mother is in an accident, Tara and Kyle go to stay with their grandparents. It seems weird, as their grandparents have never been a part of their lives. While Peter and May seem nice enough, Tara gets some weird vibes from around the house. She is convinced there are ghosts, and Kyle seems to sense that something is going on as well.
While they trying to figure out what is going on, their grandmother seems to become more sinister as the days go on. Tara wants to escape, and get back home, but there are things about the house that are calling to her.

This was a fabulous read. I could not stop listening!

compared to other Darcy Coates books I’ve read, this one wasn’t creepy or scary. I think I just prefer older main characters. The twist at the end caught me by surprise though.

This is a different read for Darcy Coates. This is more of a YA twist on a ghost story as both MC are kids but the story is still amazing and keeps you on the edge of your seat.
