This book was honestly better than the first. I think partially it was just because I didn't have any expectations. Roman and Iris's story is so sweet, but the ending with Forest was heartbreaking, although as a character he definitely was not my favorite.

Violence: its war, but its not super bloody graphic (I've read worse)
Spice: not bad, it never gets bad at all
Cursing: I think there's a little but I naturally filter it :)


A note to my christian girlies, this book does have a lesbian marriage, and it isn't a big part, but it is there
