As a fan of animation history, I've read my fair share of Disney biographies but I find that they always have some sort of agenda. Either the book will try to reveal the "dark side" of Uncle Walt or it will try to glorify him as the end-all-be-all of animation, but what made this book particularly interesting to me was that it didn't have an overt message or propaganda to push. It detailed Disney's fascinating rise from mediocre cartoonist to visionary impresario, with all the details in between. It didn't put him on a pedestal nor tried to demonize him and for that I found it to be a nice, quick and easy read. I'd recommend it.
