This was… okay. I am all too familiar with the Robin Hobb trope of “ignorant young male protagonist you want to shake sense into” and her writing is very easy to read so I kept going, waiting for the action to start. And it sort of did but then didn’t. I am not too excited about this world, but I decided to persist with the series in the hope of some actual action taking place soon…
