Knowing the inevitable fate awaiting Anne and her family, i become depressed whenever she's sad, sad whenever she's happy, and devastated whenever she show any optimism. Then, these emotions took an abrupt turn to sheer horror the moment my eyes meet the word 'concentration camps', 'death march' and 'gas chamber' printed at the afterword section.
I will forever hold dear Anne's wits, authenticity and positive outlook on life. And although this book wasn't a literary masterpiece, it is truly an impactful book that we all should read once in our life.

Really upsetting how her diary ended so abruptly. Reading up on what happened after they got captured was so heartbroken as she was so hopeful right up to the end. I'm not rating it because how are you meant to rate someone's life story? Their story is theirs and not for me to judge for entertainment, writing skill, plot or any of that.
The whole point of this diary is so people can gain an insight into one of the many victims of the Nazis regime, and how they were completely normal people like you and me and how these people were targetted for no good reason!!! Seeing the 1 star reviews on this book because "she was a teenager who talked too much about boys and not enough about the Nazis" is RIDICULOUS.

Daí a cotação tão baixa.

I read this book in high school (required reading) and hated it. Maybe it was because it was required. I am currently doing a 52 Book Challenge and one of the books to read was "a book you read in school" so I thought I would reread this one, after all it's been 30 years or so since I first read it. I loved it. It was very interesting. It was just sad knowing how it would end.
