I always say it, Lumberjanes is a bit up and down for me, it’s a rollercoaster series. This particular volume… wasn’t one of the better ones.
As always, I loved the girls, and I love the addition of Barney too, but having an already established relationship with the characters (as we are on volume 9 now) doesn’t excuse a thoroughly lacking plot. I felt like there was no substance to this volume at all, and was mightily disappointed with it. There was no action, no mystery, nothing to solve… it was just lacking.
Of course I will continue with the series, I am invested so will get the next volume, I just hope it’s better than this one… as I said, it’s up and down. 2* simply for the cool girl gang though, that I continue to love.

The Lumberjanes are back at it and some old friends, the Yetis, have come back to join them. This time though the Lumberjanes are in a high stakes race, roller derby style.
This is still an adorable series, that is a fun, quick read. Definitely still enjoying the series and it is a nice break from all of the dark and gritty stories out there.

see roller derby liin oli päris lahe (ma pole kunagi enne teadnud, kuidas see sport käib, nüüd tean). aga neid jetisid ma algusosadest küll ei mäleta! ja minu meelest oleks toredam, kui Barney oleks poiss, kes tahab -ja saab - olla Lumberjane, ja mitte järsku ootamatult they/them. sest lihtsalt... miks.
