I don't say this often about books. Especially not books that are sequels/part of a series in which I enoyed the first/other books.
I hated this.
There. I said it. I said it, and I can't take it back now.
Perhaps it was the fact that I read the first book so many years ago. I adored P.S I Love You, I thought it was beautiful, and I was excited to see what happened to Holly in the years after her adventures and coping with Gerry's death for some time.
I was bored. Holly felt different, and I know she's even years older and all, but she was just flat and meh. I didn't like Gabriel all that much, or the P.S I Love You Club, or any of it honestly. It just didn't work for me at all, and I wish I'd left myself alone at just book one.

This was between 2 and 1/2 and 3 stars. It was well-written, and the characters were intriguing and drew you in. However, it was ... well, depressing. While it had an optimistic twist, I suppose, it was just a sad book. I didn't necessarily dislike it, but it was just a downer.
I was such a big fan of P.S I Love You and my friend kindly bought this for me as a birthday gift, but I was so disappointed.
I was reading a couple of other non-spoiler reviews on GR and I have to say, I do agree with most of them. The plot, albeit had good intention and it was so thoughtful, just… fell through?
The characters were not likeable in the slightest - they actually bothered me. I just couldn’t establish a relationship with any of the characters bar Holly. At some points the plot was boring so I had to skip many, many pages. This is probably the reason why I only put down 2 stars.
Although towards the end I was a little teary eyed I must say.
Some advantages would be that the book is littered in beautiful, resonating quotes that do stick with you. The overall meaning of the book was beautiful and a great cause if it was executed in real life.
If you’ve read P.S I Love You, this book doesn’t feel like a necessary book needed to be read after PS ILY. It could have went without even having a sequel, if I’m honest. Other than the frustrating parts of having to sit and read thorough people guilt tripping and manipulating Holly, I was happy to read it when I got the chance. I was hooked at the start and then towards the end I just couldn’t help but continuously skip pages until I got to the end of the book.
