This had such a fun premise to me and I enjoyed the first few chapters but the world building is lacking and a bit confusing-is it fantasy like castles and lords or is it urban fantasy? It's never really explained and needs to be 1 or the other when her ghost companion said "slay" to her out fit I knew I needed to be done.
OMG THIS BOOK!!! The writing is phenomenal. The characters are amazing. The world is fantastic. The emotions are on point. It drew me in and kept me there - I could have kept going but it ended and left me wanting more! I can’t wait for the next book… READ THIS BOOK!!!!!
Wow! What an incredible read! The storyline is so unique—unlike anything I’ve read before. My heart absolutely aches for Dae. How could anyone not fall for him?

This book sucked me in from the beginning. I loved the dark, atmospheric world building that Cortney described in Vesselless. Everything had a sexy, gothic feel to it that was so different than anything I have read before.
Vesselless is Cortney L. Winn's debut novel. It follows Nizzara and Dagen, and is told in a dual POV style. Nizzara is our bad-ass FMC, and Dagen is the ultimate morally gray MMC. The magic system in Vesselless is unique and captivating, where humans are Casters and bond with spirits using Vessels that help channel power. I loved the definitions in the early chapters that set up the Zarr kingdom, and the rest of Bond of Kings for a modern-meets-medieval world.
If you're a fan of gothic fantasy, with slow-burn romance, you have to read Vesselless!
