Personally I found this better than the second book in the trilogy but worse than The Henna Artist. The Henna Artist captured me so strongly and I adored Lakshmi's story. I think this is a satisfying ending to everyone's stories but it did drag quite a bit for thr last hour of the audiobook. If you're on the fence about continuing after reading the second book I recommend at least trying this one out, I think it was worth my time.

Perfect end to the trilogy and possibly my favorite of the three. In tandem, have started reading Emotional Labor by Rose Hackman. I saw very clearly what she is writing about through all the women characters of this book. My eyes are so opened. If these women has been real people, I would’ve wanted to be their friends and would’ve been proud of them - not just because of their personal achievements, but because I’d the way they held each other up. That’s how it should always be.
