Well researched but the narrative doesn't really flow. Staccato. Far too many recitations of irksome, smug aristocrats to boot.

Excellent way to look at the Third Reich, the outsider perspective that all the travellers give really allow for a more critical look at what was going on since they identify the changes to Germany so well.

Couldn't recommend this more to anyone that already has a knowledge of Germany at this time as it provides amazing insight into how the nation evolved over the Nazi's rule.

I found it interesting but a bit lacklustre and hard to follow. Definitely, something to be enjoyed over a long period of time, certainly not a quick read.
