Demons, dragons, and hellhounds, oh my! Caged by Fate swaps main characters and follows Diana and Raven instead of Sienna and Dominic. Given the shift in POV, this book could be read as a standalone. There’s enough information to fill in the gaps from the first three books. However, I feel it would be more impactful to read the full series especially if there’s any chance you’ll want to go back to the original trilogy. I absolutely adored the banter between Diana and Raven. It’s one of my favorite elements between love interests and helps get me invested in their relationship. It was so well done between those characters that I can’t imagine them ending up with anyone else. In general, I just love Diana’s character. She’s feisty, intelligent, and an absolute queen (literally and figuratively). I also really loved that we got to not only visit a new location to see more of the world but also getting to see new creatures. I also have to mention Myrr, that sneaky old bat has become one of my absolute favorite characters in the entire series. I love her sheer love of food, it’s equal parts incredible and relatable. Like the first three, I read this book via audiobook. While it made sense to switch narrators with the switch in character POVs, it was still a little jarring and took time to get used to. However, once I adjusted to the new narrators, Tillie Hooper and Will Peters, I loved their narration. They did an incredible job bringing their sultry banter to life. I especially loved the sass that Tillie injected into Diana’s character. I highly recommend checking out this series on audiobook. It’s a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

I love Shannon and devour her books.  Typically they are almost always a solid 4 star read at least.  But this one fell a little flat for me.

I think it's because I don't like Diana.  That brash, angry, man hating streak she has, and mainly just for Raven, annoys the hell out of me.

And she's a man hater because of Maverick and yet she's all...whatevs...when she crosses paths with him again?  It doesn't really track for me.

The plot was OK.  But again, lacked the usual oomph I get from Shannon's books.  

I definitely found myself having to work to finish the book when there wasn't tense action happening.  

All in all it just wasn't my favorite from her and if I'm being honest the .5 star was solely based on my appreciation for the other books she's written.

Let me just say the story is fantastic. This is well written, the characters are well developed and the world building to awesome. The story moves at a great pace and has action and enough twists to keep you turning the pages. I love books that pull me in and before I know it I am at the last page and wanting more. Whenever I can preorder the next book I will be hitting that button.
If you love stories with Vampires, Werewolves, Demons and Oracles.. this is for you. If you love stories with strong female protagonists, this is for you. If you love smart, strong, sexy vampires, this is for you.
If you love a little steam with your action, this is for you.
If you love a well written story then this is definitely for you.
This is the story about Diana the Werewolf queen and Raven a sexy vampire sworn to protect Diana. The two are on a quest to save the world by restoring the veil. The supporting characters are also pretty dang awesome in this book. I love the Oracle, and the Casino owning Demon.
This book is a book from The Alpha Territories series, but no worries if you have not read any of those books, this is easily read as a stand alone. But after reading this book I have a feeling that you will want to grab the first books in the Alpha Territories series.
Check this one out you will not be sorry.

What a fun read. It was such a fast paced but captivating story. The FMC is such a badass. I loved reading her POV. Seeing her learn how to be the leader she wanted was great too. I loved loved the banter in this book. I was giggling so much. Also the tension... Yes please. The spice was also deliciously good. I loved all the turns this book took. I loved the action too. It was a great fantasy romance read. 

Caged by Fate is book 4 The Alpha Territories. This one can be read first. It follows a different set of characters than the first three books. I am excited to go back and read the first three. This series is NA. As always please check TW before reading. This book is out now!
