If the only part of a whodunit you like is when the detective makes the big reveal at the end, this may be the book for you! It contains several short Poirot stories each with its own BIG REVEAL but none of that icky character development, or plot really. I listened to the audiobook version of this, which was narrated by Richard Armitage of "North and South". I will never not love Mr. Thornton doing a Belgian accent.

Unfortunately, not one of my favourite Agatha Christie books.
Perhaps it was the fact that the stories were short, even though that was the whole point of the book, it was not for me. Either way, it was fun to read and definitely relaxing, Its just that I prefer the longer stories of hers.

I love Agatha Christie and Poirot. Hastings is also a favorite. But for some reason, I haven't enjoyed her short stories as much as full length novels. They lack the same level of depth and intrigue to me. It took me about a month to get through these because I just wasn't looking forward to reading them. The last few I even zoned out almost completely. So some stars for the characters and author, but overall not super enjoyable for me.

Skippable unless you love Poirot! Lots of Hastings and Poirot arguing about whether the first is dumb and the latter is too prideful
It was good but I prefer when it’s just one mystery to solve. It all happened too fast to process. I love Captain Hastings and Poirot’s dynamic, they are so cute.
