Reread November 2024- 3 stars this time. This was a reread for me and I ejoyed it a lot more this time around. This goes to show that your reading taste can change over time. The short story format held my attention and it was nice to have the ability to read 1 or 2 a day from started to finish
I want to reread all of the Hercule Poirot books. This book took me over two months to read. For me this short story collection was not up to par as the other books. Some of the stories were a one star for me.

As with most short stories collections, some are better than others. I'm writing this a few days after having finished the collection, and honestly some have already slipped my mind. But there were a few that were quite clever and fun - The Adventure of The Cheap Flat, for example. I'd also already read a few of them in a previous collection (like The Adventure of The Italian Nobleman, which is admittedly also clever) so that may bias me as well. If you're a big Poirot fan, I think this collection is worth the read.

Nice little short stories of Mr Poirots adventures with his nit-wit sidekick, Hastings. Some parts make you giggle out loud.. Hercule has such an OCD personality, with some serious Type A personality traits.... gotta love him.

A collection for short stories. I liked that not all of them were about murders which was a nice change. Some of the stories I wanted more development and were easy to forget. However my favourite one was the one when poriot wasn’t even at the scene of the crime because he was ill and yet somehow he still was about to an figure up the criminal really putting Hastings to shame
This book consists of short stories about Poirot which are funny and inventive but don't pack the same punch the full novels do. Still worthwile reading for some small doses of Poirot magic.
Przez obecność dziesięciu opowiadań trudno było mi się odnaleźć i rozumieć sens i puentę każdego z nich. Każda z opowiedzianych historii była ciekawa i oczywiście przemyślana. Plusem jest to, że nie trzeba było czekać do końca książki żeby poznać sens danej zbrodni rozwiązywanej przez niesamowitego Herkulesa Poirot!
