Super unpopular opinion.

DNF - 108 pages in.

I just couldn't connect with anyone. The romance was just unbelievable. There was no chemistry at all. They literally met on Tuesdays in a shop and they somehow fell in love. A chapter or 2 later they were engaged. What? Lol.

I just don't care about anything happening in this book and I was quite disappointed since it's so highly rated and it was recommended to me.

This was such a good story! Reminiscent of Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Ford.

This is now my new favorite book! I was completely consumed by it! The epic
but doomed
love story between Roya and Bahman, told from a myriad of different character perspectives that all intertwined was amazing!! The jumping through time and between character perspectives was done very well and it was written in a way that made it addictive!! I loved every bit of it! There were many plot twists and it was a real page turner! I couldn't get enough of this book and was so sad to see it end, as I had fallen in love with the characters. Roya's character was so well developed that
as she experienced the loss of her child and later the loss of Bahman right after reconnecting with him
, I cried. I would 1000% recommend this book to someone!
