I love this book, but I have 2 problems:
1. The font and formatted text hurt my eyes, so finishing takes so long. (I talk about this version of the book, I wish I had access to other options.)
2. I wish for a bit of a detailed ending

Reading this story was like being engulfed by the warmth of a good cup of herbal tea. I enjoyed the writing style it was easy to read. One word that would describe this book, especially the hotel stay part is: peculiar (as heck) second word would be ridiculous. However, the pacing was not all that in certain areas, it seemed to drag on and on and was utterly slow. But the story itself was fun and unique (to me at least.) I laughed in certain places and found myself cheering on the FMC in others. There was a quirky little cast that made things interesting and seemed like a found family and I always adore those. The development of the romance was gradual and kudos to the no smut on page. And the ending was a good tying together of a fun little read. I don't usually like contemporary books but this one I liked. 3 stars because of the pacing.

3.5 stars. Not quite where her books used to be but still warm and cozy
lighthearted slow-paced

Funny banter, a relatable FMC dealing with a relatable issue (burnout), quirky side characters, the healing qualities of the beach + sea, a bit of mystery... all good stuff! The MMC's story arc felt a bit underdeveloped/rushed, but overall it was an enjoyable, escapist read that anyone who's been fed up at work can appreciate and enjoy.
