More of the same from Mr. Bourdain. I stepped away about a third of the way through this one.

If you loved his other books, you can't go wrong. For me, at least for now, I need a bit of fiction.

Reads like an episode of a Bourdain show but does not reach the heights of his best episodes or Kitchen Confidential.

Reading this knowing how troubled Anthony Bourdain was made parts stand out that I think might not have prior to his death. Aside from that it's a fantastic showcase of one man trying and failing to mold the world to his own notions and how he adapts and learns from his immediate somewhat naive goal of finding the "perfect meal".

Bourdain paints a fantastic picture of his food adventures and travels within many cultures.

Pgs 23 and 152- real funny.
