This is this kind of holiday romance I love! It had everything! And read like a Christmas tv movie.

This is an enemies to loves Christmas romance set in Atlanta at this Black-owned luxury department store. And the heroine Darcy is a boss who can handle her own and doesn't let any man bulldoze over her. She's also very charitable and highly involved with making sure her company focuses on the well being of their employees. Bascially she runs her company how these top CEOs should be running theirs. Her mother and stepfather decided to sell her beloved department store right out from under her but she's determined to win over the new owner.

Eli Austin comes in right before Christmas with a grudge after taking over staple department store Bennetts. He had an agenda to turn into into a store similar to his chain Dollar Bin, a bargain department store that treats their employees worst than Walmart treats theirs. But he quickly learns that's not how they do things at Bennetts and that this department store is like a family. And Darcy is making quite the impression on his daughter.

The ending was a little much to swallow but I enjoyed this story nonetheless and would highly recommend to anyone looking for holiday fare.
