Worrying about how to bureaucratically manage Hell and if your girlfriend will like your new monster arm is exactly the kind of drama I'm here for.

I enjoyed this, I was looking forward to Stark as Lucifer but while it was fun he did seem to spend more time worrying about being assassinated than anything else- fair worry but not as fun to read as Stark playing at being Lucifer could have been.

I also felt like it all got a bit confused towards the end of the book- there were just so many plots within plots that I barely knew what was going on half the time- I still enjoyed reading about Stark causing carnage but I was confused. Also why hasn't he learnt to remove bullets (or got Candy to learn or something) it seems like every book he ends up with a few bullets rattling around inside, he'd make it all alot easier for himself if he just learnt how to remove them when the injury occurred.

It took me about 1/3rd of the book to get into it, but I think it also took that long for the book to find out what it wanted to do. I’m glad I kept going. This is another great addition to the Sandman Slim series.

Stark, AKA Sandman Slim, AKA the New Lucifer, doesn't want the job, but he now rules over Hell, and it's not all torment and burning the sinners, there's politics, and that makes him want to go home even more.

It has been a few years since I read book 3 of this series, and there are things that I forgot, but while this story was interesting, and grabbed me, I don't want to go back and re-read it so I can remember them all. I think it was all of the similes that filled every other paragraph. OMG, some of them were hilarious, but even though none were repeated, it still got repetitive, thus irritating.

And while there was a lot of action, it too got repetitive. Action here, action there, and some over yonder. I know that's the story, but it started to feel as if it was going nowhere.

But speaking of action, this is full of language and violence. Yes, it's mostly monster violence, with gore, but with that and the very dark humor, I don't think it's unsuitable for readers under eighteen.

While I loved the dark humor and the adventure, the repetitiveness got boring.

Decent action, plot was all over the place. The ending kept getting pushed back.

I liked this book but it falls short compared to the first three. I missed the old characters and besides Stark, we don’t see them until quite late in the book. I understand that you can’t just rehash the old storyline over and over with a different evil enemy, and the first part was good, but I just was left wanting for the other characters
