This book is pretty lame even by kid standards. Maybe it is meant to entice kids to read alone. But even the illustrations are weak.
Narwhal, The Unicorn of The Sea by Ben Clanton - A good beginning level graphic novel, with simple drawings, adorable characters, and quick wit. Plus narwhals, a jellyfish friend and... waffles. How can you lose with waffles? (Leslie Knope (and NTE) approved!)
This was so cute!
I think this would be really fun for younger kids. I'm not sure if the messages will come across that heavily, but the three stories are still both educational and enjoyable. The personalities of the characters and the drawings were really well done. Narwhals haven't been written much as animal characters, so that made it a little more unique (and I also like narwhals). The ending was a bit abrupt but I think an extra page will be inserted there. There was also blank pages at pg. 46-47; I'm not sure if this is intentional but the story continues on afterwards so it was fine. This definitely has potential to be turned into a longer story or a series but it's cute as it is.

Oh my goodness this is soooooooo cute!!
Narwhal and Jelly are amazing-- Podtastic! ^_^
The art is cute and there are even cool facts to teach children about Narwhals and Jellyfish. There is also a Narwhal song to get the kids moving and having fun.
I'm pretty sure this is a picture book haha and this is one I would definitely recommend libraries to pick up. Also, parents for their own kids :)

A perfect book to level up the kids that love narwhal and jelly but need something a bit more challenging.
Narwhal's obsession with waffles = he is a Grishaverse creature with some relation to Nina Zenik.
