So eine goldige Art zu zeichnen.... und so eine sinnfreie Geschichte. Da hat man sich überhaupt keine Mühe gegeben und die paar Sachinformationen sind auch total lieblos reingeklatscht. 1 Stern für die Zeichnungen
I quite love Ben Clanton. And it turns out I quite love Narwhal!
Short. Goofy. Fast.
Story: A narwhal meets a jellyfish and they have fun encounters.
Language: 3 short stories with a fact page and song in between. Short sentences and lots of jokes. Ideal for early readers but will still make 3-4 graders laugh (and this adult reader).
Characters: Narwhal is self confident and lots of fun. Jellyfish is the "straight man" in the pair and his seriousness also makes readers laugh.
A fun super fast read that could be easily drawn out longer or split into shorter reads. Starting the next one immediately!

Aw- I thought this was really cute! Sort of an Elephant and Piggy feel- but in the ocean. And with a Narwhal and Jellyfish.
This is going to be a great graphic novel series for kids who enjoy Babymouse, Squish, Lunch Lady and Salem Hyde series.
Love meeting both Narwhal and Jelly. Looking forward to more!

Cute and funny, with themes of friendship, and some sea creature info thrown in. Kids are going to love this one and be left laughing (and maybe craving waffles). I especially appreciated that it is one narrative thread, but told through three short stories. Share with kids who love younger graphic novels like Babymouse, Squish, & Lunch Lady.
This is a cute story of a Narwhal who makes friends with a jelly fish, and they do things like eat waffles together (because of course that is what a narwhal would do with its best friend) and make up stories about super heroes that are waffles...do I sense a pattern here?
Not an outstanding, I-want-to-read-over-and-over-again sort of book, but a good enough book, and very easy to read, graphic novel style picture book.
Just because I found the story sort of repetitive and forgettable doesn't mean that kids won't love the idea of a narwhal and a jelly fish being friends, and that is really what this is all about.
Thanks to Netgalley for making this book available for an honest review.

This may very well be my favorite book in the whole wide water.
