This was one of the most challenging books to finish and we knew that from just the first couple of chapters. For effectively the first 3/4 of this book, nothing really happens and the characters don’t develop during that time.

The “mystery” is basically solved in the first fifty pages of the book, and no clues really allow the reader to investigate along with the characters. Finally, the last two chapters contain what little action occurs and then the book ends with a premise as silly as it started with.

The only recommendation I can make is to avoid this author’s writing at all costs.

Ending was like always with Natasha Preston's books. Ended on a cliffhanger.

Also it made no sense. The police would catch Lillian. Her DNA is all over and Andy still has a bunch of evidence. It's like Lilian thinks she is so smart and can get away with killing 4 people and stalking a camp
