This book is very slow paced, and there are very few moments of intense action. Every major change is so gradual that you hardly notice it's happening until it's done.

I loved every second.

I love this world. I love these characters.

Holy hell this is a miracle.

Genuinely, I’ve never read characters that develop as well as the characters Robin Hobb writes. The level of growth and change is insane, the only reason I don’t rate this 5 stars is because at times it felt frustrating how stubborn Fitz is, and that’s not even the authors fault, she writes him that way intentionally! Even every assumption I thought was obvious ended up being slightly off or slightly different. Truly can’t wait to start the next one
