Main character was incredibly aggravating. I usually dislike characters the are self-depreciating and negative at every chance they get. This was no exception.
If you’ve read The Unfortunate Fairy Tales series by the same author then you know everything that’s going to happen in this book because the story is nearly identical. Total waste of time.

It was a bit all over the place, the main character was very whiny and bad at communicating- so many crazy assumptions made that were so easily avoided. A lot of side plots that didn't make much sense. I caught myself rolling my eyes a lot. Still some cute parts, and I did finish the book, so that is saying something.

Magic, danger, and a dash of romance—Chanda Hahn weaves a spellbinding sequel in Of Glass and Glamour! This retelling brings a fresh twist to familiar fairy tale roots, with strong-willed characters, sharp wit, and plot twists that keep you on your toes, this book is an absolute page-turner. We all love a strong female lead bonded by the love of their sisters 💪

Oh Eden. I wanted to enjoy this story. There were many enjoyable moments. But Eden was so annoying, it ruined things for me. I spend too much time yelling at her.

The typical villain arch of haha you’re so dumb girl falling for the prince was cheesy and can be seen miles away but otherwise I loved it 🤣
Summary:
a daughter of Eville gets thrown into a situation my mother Eville, shocker, with no information what so ever. Eden has to find her way in a town she doesn’t know with only the order of getting revenge for her parents. To get this revenge she must fulfill this prophecy of killing the prince but the king knows the prophecy to well so he does everything (bad) to save his son… but which one? And then everything hits the fan when we find out EVERYONES truth because she’s Cinderella, master of glamour… hence the title.
My review:
This was an ODD retelling of Cinderella (you’ll get the pun later). I loved every bit of it. At times she was Cinderella, other times she was the God mother, other times the hero… but definitely not the villain as the prophecy made her seem. I can’t stand Mother Eville and her secrecy. I want to know her endgame so bad. And the plot twist is just insane as the plot continues from the first book just with Different sister. I also cannot stand Mary, one of the younger sisters. Anywho here are the important details.
