Book picks up immediately where the first left off. (mid scene). It did not have much Henry. More of the guys on staff. Abbi is getting more comfortable in her sexuality, and is doing all the things now lol. ANDDDD my boy Ronannnnnn. Holding her while Abbi cried, had me crying. What a gem in all ways. This book also ends on a cliffhanger/mid scene.

Break me literally broke me!

I was not expecting such stupidity.

This book was a rollercoaster of emotions.

I still can't wrap my head around what happened in the beginning...Both Henry and Abby were idiots!
Henry warns her about his brother, and she gullibly ate up everything Scott said. And when Henry denies her accusations...she decides to sleep with Michael??? WHAT??? (I mean, sexy scene but come on Abby). And the threatening between the both of them was outrageous! I was PISSED

Scott, Henry's brother, is intense.

"So, tell me Abby from Greenbank, Pennsylvania, population five thousand. Daughter of Roger and Bernadette Mitchel. Previously engaged to the reverends son before he found a girl who wasn't saving herself for marriage"
"What lies did he tell you for you to lie down on your back for him"

But the fact Abby actually believed the words Scott was saying...disappointing.

I was so conflicted after Henry left. I just didn't believe the evil's he was spewing. But, I also can't believe little innocent Abby fucked Michael...that was SO wrong, and it hurt Henry to see what kind of person Abby was.

I was wrecked trying to continue this book. It was only about a week or two that they had known each other in book one to book two...and I was loving the dynamic between Henry and Abby.
so when he left...ugh it hurt.

'I hate to admit it, Momma was right. I've seen Henry's teeth now, and he delivers one painful bite'

I will say I love Ronan and Connor! They are freaking hilarious! Their banter is great!
And...gosh those two men are spicy...in the best ways!
And that truck scene...YUM

At some point I was trying to figure out where this was going. What was end game? The author took all my thoughts I felt was going to happen and threw them into a blender...I kept doubting my original thoughts
I always felt Henry was end goal but after what happened...how could he be?

The ending had me shocked. I knew that shy Abby would eventually be overtaken by strong Abby...but damn girl

"Yah, I guess we do lead very different lives. I fight for what I want, while you just role over and give up"

"Ok then, it's official, you're fired"

Y'all, just go read the book! I've had so much fun with this series. The emotions it brings out of me...ugh love it! I hope I don't hate book 3...Only one way to find out!

twists in my emotion!

I give this four large stars! It was slow going through parts. In the beginning, I felt anger towards Abbi, then towards Henry… then back at Abbi. Almost threw my phone while reading. This one is a for sure stab to your perspective at who you judge and why. Different people may see things differently and interpret things differently… then, react as such. Wow. No spoilers, I’ll be on to number 3 now
