3.5 stars!! A historical fiction novel that each chapter went from the 1790s to present day! The 1790s chapters were set in London and I adored learning about the secret apothecary, who’s role was to poison men at the request of a woman in their life! This story had many plot twists that I loved but the present day chapters were somewhat slow/uninteresting.

I enjoyed how the past and present were connected and the overall theme of women empowerment.

I had heard a lot of hype around The Lost Apothecary, and it did not disappoint. Sara Penner explored the importance of self discovery in a well-paced, intruiging mystery. I loved every second of this book and was captivated the entire time!
