If you’re into the cosmic horror genre, this definitely tickles that fancy. Unhinged, a little corny at times, but definitely enjoyable. I flew through it and audibly reacted on several occasions.

WTF kind of fever dream did I just read?
Part 1 is, actually, a really good story. It sets up the rest of the book nicely and I would have loved to see it continue in that character's narrative. Part 2 gets a bit stranger, but the story is still there and easy enough to follow and understand. Part 3 is completely off the rails. The narrative moves quickly and at points it's hard to understand. Gore for the sake of gore? Maybe. At the end, it didn't read like a horror novel. Also, not a fan of the underlying racism that appears through all 3 parts.

I have no idea what I just read. It was definitely on the cosmic/Lovecraftian horror level of weird I was looking for but I'm still not entirely sure what I read.
