The only parts of this book that were fun to read was the body horror it was gross and hard to read but that's what makes body horror fun. The rest of the book however? Is just lacking. We're spoon fed the same information over and over again from 3 different perspectives and it's boring. The feminist rants are also not needed and preachy in a way that would probably turn people away from feminism entirely if this was their first introduction to any feminist ideas. Also the bi-phobia and transphic bits are really shitty and don't add anything to the narrative, so what was the point of adding them?? Why introduce the trans character only to be really shitty about their transition then immediately kill them off?? There was no point in us needing that information. the sexworker character had such potential but is written like a one detentional loser who is only fact about her before she's "chosen" is that she's a sex worker right after introducing other things about her its almost completely pushed to the side. Like come on. This book held potential but fell flat so read with caution.
I fucking love when someone gets creative down a weird road that works. This worked.

I've read more cosmic horror recently than I ever intended to. This one has been the easiest read in terms of prose, and the most compelling in terms of narrative. Queer, eldritch, and horrifying (affectionate).
