This book was so weird and so gross and so visceral and I loved ever what the fuck is happening moment of it. I mean really what's not to love about a sapphic apocalyptic horror book loosely inspired by the apocryphal gospel of Mary Magdalene? 10/10 recommending to all my friends.

To use the author’s own words: “Every time I’m certain the situation is as nasty as it can be, it manages to get worse.” And that’s a compliment.

When I picked up this book, I had no idea where it was going to take me. I’m so glad I found it because I’ve never read anything this disgusting (again, compliment). I also enjoyed the queer aspects of this book (very much).

I’m hoping there’s a sequel in the works

That certainly was body horror in a multitude of ways combined with the terrors of motherhood. Aside from the satisfying gory mess of it all I can't say I really felt much for the characters. The strongest out of all the storylines was Erin's. I enjoyed both her reaction to her changes as well as what it said about our world's health care system. But once everything really fell apart I wasn't invested in either Savannah or Mareva's perspectives.

This is the fucked-up, sexually-charged apocalyptic body horror story I didn’t know I needed. If you are into that READ THIS NOW. It is fucking wild and gross and I loved all of it.

It follows some women while a pandemic impacts them in different ways with truly nasty symptoms while apparently bringing on the end of the world. It’s fucking wild, man.

This book is weird, disgusting, and raunchy - I couldn't put it down! ⚠️ there is quite a bit of body horror, so it's not for the squeamish.
