I was totally enthralled in this story, in these characters. I thought i had it pegged at the beginning, but every character managed to surprise me. And the truth, the many sides of it, managed to surprise me as well. Captivating, really.
It lost a star for the ending. I could have thrown the book across the room. And although it did lose a star for that one little thing, I highly recommend the read. Especially if you're a mom, a nanny, a babysitter.... it all just seems so....... possible?
Wouldn't be surprised if I saw this on Netflix in a years time.

Very twisty and turny, but ultimately very predictable. Disappointing in terms of how the perpetrators (yes, multiple) of violence were able to use wealth and status to be above any means of being held accountable, which does not feel like something worth continuing, even in a book form when we know that’s rampant in real life. The story structure is interesting and the way the story is revealed is very well done. The plot is just not great.
