Not a fan. Not my cup of tea.

Couldn’t put it down.

Shades of ‘Big Little Lies’, just not as compelling. I loved ‘Greenwich  Park, but this one dragged along

3.5 rounded up.

A twisty domestic thriller that sees a former journalist turned stay at home mom infiltrating a group of moms after one their nanny's turns up dead. Determined to prove the woman died by foul means, Tash can't help but keep digging, ultimately finding a trail that leads back to her own husband. Fast-paced and hard to put down. Good on audio and perfect for fans of authors like Tara Laskowski. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review!

If you’re looking for a fast pace, edge of your seat thriller then this one isn’t for you. If you prefer a whole lot of build up, then this one is calling your name!

Tash is motivated to restart her career as a journalist and believes the young nanny who recently passed away under mysterious circumstances might just be her ticket. At the same time, she is also looking to broaden her and her sons friend group.

Interesting how these two worlds end up colliding. Are these women truly her friends and can they be trusted? As she becomes closer to them and as she digs deeper into Sophie’s passing she receives a message telling her to, “stop digging.”

The story continues to alternate between Tash and Sophie up until her death. But once we learn what happened that evening, do we really?

I seem to be in the minority, as most reviews are positive for this one, but I prefer my thrillers to be a little more stressful. This one was a slow burn all the way up until about 85% and then it kind of dragged from there to the point I didn’t care much about what really happened. Like I said, most people seem to enjoy it, so I do still think it’s one you should give a try!
