Wow. This book was really something. I was intrigued till the end, and I couldn’t figure out who did it, and what happened in Cornwall, although I had suspicions throughout. Tash was an interesting character. I’ve done the Keeping Up with the Other Moms bit, and it’s not great for a relationship or a pocketbook. I found that I was both invested in Tash and in what happened to Sophie. And I wouldn’t stop till I figured it out. I did figure out what was up with Christina pretty quickly, so even though I didn’t pin down the killer quickly, at least I had that?

This was a twisty read! I wasn’t expecting anything like it. The different POVs and narrators made this one fun. Lots of drama, uneasiness, and suspense. These moms are dark!

Whew this was a wild ride. Tash is looking to revive her journalism career, and a story falls into her lap. She is then tied up into a niche group, mom's of a higher class that belong to a posh playgroup. She peels back the layers of the murder that occurred in this community, and ruffles some feathers along the way. Did I think the ending was realistic? No, but it was well written and I enjoyed the guessing game and clues sprinkled throughout the book. Thank you Netgalley and Gallery for the free ecopy in exchange for an unbiased review.

SHOOKETH 🤯

This was #bookstabookclub’s online chapters first ever read. And when I tell you, this book blew my mind! It’s hard for a thriller now-a-days to actually shock me, but this one did just that. Not to mention the short chapters had me flying through it! The only reason this wasn’t a 5⭐️ read for me is because the MC made questionable choices that had me screaming at the book 😂

All that to say, READ THIS BOOK, it’s incredible! If you are part of BookstaBookclub, I may have finished this book, but I’ve enjoyed chatting with you all and will continue to do so until everyone finishes! (Hurry up tho cause I’m dying to talk about that ending!)

This book had an extremely slow beginning which I later realised was character and setting building. A lot of it. The book finally actually started at 50% and then things moved forward really fast. From that mark, you really don’t know if you trust anybody, literally ANY body.
The second half of the book was great! I really enjoyed it with the plot building each time it went from Tash (our main character) to Sophie (the nanny who died) and each time I guessed someone new as the killer. Ultimately, one of my first guesses was proven correct (which made me very happy
