It’s such a painfully relatable book which in my opinion really reflects certain raw emotions. The book follows Martha’s journey and life over 20 years and every detail and emotion is vital for her reconciliation and reflection at the end.

This took way longer than it should have to read. I just struggled with how flat a lot of the scenes felt. I struggled to connect with characters. I understand that may have been the point, but it just felt infuriating to read. The second half definitely picked up, but still didn’t feel fulfilling to read. An interesting depiction of mental illness though.
