I love this series! The art is incredible, cozy, spooky, a bit macabre, and fun. The topics and themes tackled by Beetle and Kat are necessary and handled with care. This book builds on the goblin and necromancy lore from the first novel while introducing strange new worlds and even more fantastical creatures including dragons, chimera, vampires, and the return of Penny the blob ghost. This story serves as a much needed bit of fun, a hug, and a conversation starter, and I hope it gets into the hands of kids (and adults!) who need it.

It felt like there were at least 3 plots going on at the same time, and they could’ve each been their own volume. The lesbian cake was so silly and cute. Also looks like we’re set up for another volume!

I loved the first one and was so excited to see the sequel! It absolutely blew my expectations out of the water! A great sequel with a great twist! Finding more about the world and our beloved characters was an honor! It was so cute and definitely recommend it!

The art was astoundingly beautiful!! The cool weird character designs that Aliza gave us in abundance of made me ascend (I LOVE cdes)!! And the character development for both Kay & Beetle.. our baby’s are grown! A must read. Seriously.

A wonderful continuation of the first story. This one seems to be following Beetle learning how to deal with her changes and being scared to grow and how she feels she can’t change or do any of her goblin traditions because Kat needs her. Kat’s parents come to town and they’re just awful of course and poor Kat just tries her best to be the perfect daughter but it’s never enough. All of these emotions are surrounded by a who done it mystery that has a twist I did not see coming. All in all an incredibly fun read!
