This book is a must read in the world of the pandemic. There is a lot to explore with this book; human nature, existentialism, and the succinct way death is dealt with in massive deadly events. This really said what I was thinking at the time during the height of Covid. This book felt alive and the descriptions of death were surreal.

We're still dying of the Plague and the Plague is slowly but surely creeping into our happy cities. The rats are about to show their heads and, unlike in this story, most of us are cowards & madmen. 

Everytime I read something from Camus I am reminded that this man "gets it". Life ends where love ends.

Die Geschichte ist unglaublich bewegend und sehr gut geschrieben. Nichts für schwache Nerven, denn ich wurde mit einer der brutalsten Sterbeszenen konfrontiert, die ich je gelesen habe. Ich will jetzt alles von ihm lesen!

Um livro muito bem escrito, principalmente pela profundidade com que o autor cria as personagens. Para o meu gosto pessoal, só faltou um pouco de intensidade, mas não deixa de ser um excelente livro.
