Where do I begin? I have read this series since it first began. I used to love it. Now we're 30 books in and Stephanie hasn't changed much. She's dangling between two dudes, which is fine, except she calls one of them her boyfriend. I guess I'm saying, since I started reading this series, I grew up. Stephanie didn't. Sometimes the series makes half hearted attempts at some sort of personal growth for Stephanie. There's also the question of the subtle MAGA code. Like Lula talking about having one of the pillows. I've noticed it in prior books in the series, too. I wonder if that will continue in future books.
That said, I do enjoy the writing. I think Lula and Stephanie are a good team. I'm currently reading book 31. We'll see if I make it to 32 or not

I really enjoy these books. I know many find them formulaic and repetitive, but I think the mysteries are all fairly unique and interesting. These books are a quick, easy read and I always look forward to the next one.
