Edited: After a reread of the entire series I hope Stephanie picks Ranger. Morelli has become stale in his distrust and contempt for Steph and her life. Yes, it is dangerous but even she has admitted that she enjoys the thrill of it all. Ranger has not once tried to limit or stifle her, he just makes sure she is safe and okay after every adventure.
As predictable as this series has become it is still a comfort read, something I share with my late aunt and will continue until it ends! This felt more like the humour, pacing and banter of the earlier books and was a good return to form! I am hoping that we will actually get a decision from Stephanie re Morelli and Ranger as it does feel like we may be coming towards the end of this series... something that breaks my heart

You know what you’re getting with a Stephanie Plum novel. Cute, low stakes, happy-ish ending, a bit repetitive but I like them.
Just another is a row of pretty much the same thing for this series. It really needs to wrap up. The best part of the book was the end when it seems like maybe something might change in the next one.

Progress! Stephanie actually shows off some detective and apprehension skills in this one plus a general willingness to move past the status quo of the last 15 or so books. Maybe Janet is just feeling like 30 is special and it'll go back to the same old schtick in the next one but for now, I'll take it.

Another fun-filled adventure in the Plum series. I feel as though everything after 12 doesn't quite live up to those first dozen. But I did chuckle my way through this one. They are always fun and filled with misadventures. A quick easy read.
