One of the higher rated Plum books in a while for me ... but Ranger's more prominent in this book, so that might explain that.

It's just another typical week Stephanie & gang.  Shenanagans abound for her, but there's also an underlying focus on her dilema regarding the two men in her life that gets drastically more complicated in this book.

There's a seriously LOL moment in this book with Bob & Ranger that literally had me in tears ... oh, and the cats!

While I'm encouraged in the direction of a decision on her part, I'm not hopeful we'll get one any time soon.

Sadly firefox ate my review the first time and I forgot about it till I came in here to add another book (whoops), and I don't have the brainspace to do it all again, so we're going to do a few quick bullet points.

-Pretty standard Stephanie Plum fare, for the most part- a fun and quick read, nothing too serious, don't think too hard about anything, cases in general are pretty predictable at this point
-But some honest to god character development! I've been saying for several books now that it seems like Evanovich is beginning to wrap this series up, and I feel even more that way now. I could be wrong, of course, but I'll be VERY surprised if we get to book 40. But we'll see.
-I love Lula, don't get me wrong, BUT. It's getting old, having her as the only real sidekick for so many books now. I miss Sally and Diesel and everybody else who would come in and shake things up- though let's be real, mostly Sally. Evanovich has all these great side characters and she never uses them anymore.

These are some of my favorite mysteries books, especially if you are listening to them.  Lorelai King is the best narrator ever and I recommend these to everyone who enjoys audiobooks.

Half the book I was like wut (but also on me cause I accidentally skipped 3/4 of the book on Libby)

I have read all of the Stephanie Plum books. They are a fun read. I liked that Stephanie seems to have come into herself in this one. More confident in herself.

What can I say? I read the first book of this series in high school and I’m in too deep now to stop (30 and counting, baby).

I do genuinely enjoy observing how Evanovich writes to her Staphanie Plum template at this point. This book is pure popcorn fare with the familiar mystery, shenanigans, character meet-ups, absurd danger situations, and boy drama - the outing is largely forgettable, if fun.

Can’t wholeheartedly recommend, but would be remiss if I didn’t point out younger me thought the first 10 or so of these entries were VERY fun.
