Cline's writing for this collection read very much like an episode of "Cowboy Bebop"-- and I mean that in the best way possible. Each poem is captivating and layered, her structure and style is varied and engaging. I tore through this collection, and I am excited to go back through and read it over and over again.

If the "Cowboy Bebop" comparison doesn't resonate with some, I thought of another illustration that this collection fulfills well. It's like seeing an old friend after a very long time. It's not necessarily happy or sad, but overwhelmingly nostalgic with a hint of regret. You two discuss the way things have changed, maybe some people you know have died, maybe your old hangout spot burned down or flooded. It feels weird, but there is a distant love that still moves the machine.

I don't know. That's all very woo-woo but I just had to get it out because it is really how I feel about "Cowabungaly Yours." TL;DR, read it and be affected.

This book was really fun and did something I haven’t seen much of in poetry books yet. That being how it quotes and referenced scientific sources throughout. I loved how they were used. It’s really cool to see someone’s passion for science in their writing.

I also loved that there was a mixtape for the book! That made for a fantastic reading experience. Especially with how important music is in the poems.

Ashley Cline uses some unique formatting for the poems (like with the questionnaire piece) that I quite enjoyed. And there were so many amazing lines!!: “–i was not made from Adam but, rather, found buried/ in the garden, already. came up knowing that the body looks/ best in couplets,” <3 <3 <3

Very tender poetry. Love any combination of poet who adores poetry, astronomy, science, and pop music.
