In Der Klang der Wälder begleitet der Leser Tomura, dessen Traum es ist, Klavierstimmer zu werden. Das Cover fängt die Stimmung des Buches gut ein. Es ist eine ruhige Geschichte, in der Berge, Wälder und natürlich das Klavier, eine bedeutende Rolle spielen.
Schon nach ein paar Seiten war ich gefesselt von der Story. Der poetische Schreibstil zauberte mir die schönsten Bilder in meinen Kopf, und lies die Geschichte lebendig wirken. Die Beschreibungen waren zwar detailliert, fühlten sich aber nie wie Infodumps an. Der Leser hat quasi zusammen mit dem Protagonisten mitgelernt, weswegen sich die Erklärungen natürlich, und nicht aufzeigend, lasen.
Am meisten begeisterte mich die Moral der Geschichte. Es ist immer leicht gesagt seinem Traum zu folgen, aber die Umsetzung ist meist nicht so problemlos. Und auch wenn man immer sein Bestes gibt, ist es manchmal eben nicht genug. Es war inspirierend zu lesen, wie Tomura mit diesen Umständen umgeht. Es gibt so vieles was zwischen den Zeilen gesagt wurde, dass mich das Buch wahrscheinloch noch eine Weile begleiten wird, auch wenn es mittlerweile auf meinem Regal stehlt.

Absolutely exquisite. This little novel celebrates those in this life who discover their passion and pursue it, step by step, forging their path ahead, taming the forest around them and basking in the joy that comes from discovering your purpose in life.
A slice of life about a piano tuner who has little faith in his ability, complete confusion about what hes trying to achieve and an ever present concern that he might never "make it". Breath taking.

Niet mijn onderwerp, en iets te abstract met de beeldspraak. Kon me er totaal niet mee verbonden. Hoofdpersoon was ook iets te blanco om interessant te zijn.

A very enjoyable read, it did remind me of some books by Robert Seethaler that I have read previously. My first time reading this author and I look forward to more translated fiction by them in the future.

To zdecydowanie była książka z potencjałem. Bardzo podobały mi się w niej przemyślenia na temat sztuki i piękna. Przyjemny był też klimat, taki ciepły i spokojny... Przynajmniej dopóki książka nie stała się zbyt spokojna. Bo o ile na początku sam klimat i ładny styl pisania mi wystarczaly, potem miałam poczucie, że historia nigdzie nie zmierzała i ciężko mi było kontynuować. Ale jak komuś odpowiada takie no plot just vibes based on music, to całkiem przyjemna historia
