ok so like… parts were great and parts were not so great, really fascinating story but certain things just fell flat or was left confusing and not in a fun way, overall glad i read it but it was a tough read

Great story. I was able to really connect with the characters. I really hate Helen again. Also on the audiobook was not a big fan of the male voices.

4 stars. I thought this was a beautiful retelling from the perspectives of two sisters, Klytemnestra and Helen. Each woman had clear motivations and desires that drove their stories forward. There are several scenes which have stuck in my mind on repeat, as they were so well articulated that I felt the betrayal and anger which arose in the characters. Personally, I preferred Klytemnestra’s character because her actions were dictated more by rational thought than by emotion, which was the driving force for Helen. I understand some people were disappointed that the divine was written out of this book, however, I felt that this made the story all the more powerful and engaging. Overall, I thought it was a very well developed book which I would recommend to others.
