Seven nights for dying - Tessa Graton - 1 star
I really didnt like this one. I failed to connect with the main character and all the mentions of sex made my eyes roll.
The Boys from Blood River - Rebecca Roanhorse - 3 stars
When this one started I was intrigued but the longer it went the more appeal it lost.
Senior year sucks - Julie Murphy - 3 stars
I quite liked this one. Likable main character and great chemistry between the girls.
The Boy and the Bell: Heidi Heilig - 4 stars - interesting premise and well-executed story
A guidebook for the newly sired desi Vampire - Samira Ahmed - 2 Stars - interesting format, I will give her that, but I didnt like the bitter undertone and I would appreciate explanation for some of the references
In Kind - Kayla Whaley - 3 stars - quite a strong story, but I was not a fan of its execution
Vampires Never Say Die: Zoraida Córdova & Natalie C. Parker - 4 stars - I liked the story and both of the main characters. Also the ending did not left me unsatisfied.
Bestiary: Laura Ruby - 4 stars - I liked the main character and her connection to animals. It was a story i would not mind reading more of.
Mirrors, Windows & Selfies: Mark Oshiro - 5 stars - I loved this one. It is about lonely young vampire, who is really special because he was born to two vampires. I really loved the blog format.
The House of Black Sapphires: Dhonielle Clayton - 4 stars - Why all the good ones feels like a start of a really interesting novel? I would love to read a book about black vampire family (with so many daughters it remind me of Pride and Prejudice).
First Kill: Victoria Schwab - 4 stars
Tale as old as time, story of vampire and a a hunter forming a strange kind of bond - deadly and passionate. I crave more now.

Overall - I really struggled through the first part of the book and I started to enjoy the most when it was ending. The last three stories were my type. This book once again reminded me that I did not liked anthologies but I keep reading them anyway. There are hidden gems in a big mass of suffering.

I had a dream about gay vampires so I’d say it accomplished its goals.

YES, I did very much enjoy this excellent anthology of new vampire stories. From vampires on social media to queer vampires to disabled vampires to new takes on slayers and more, this is an anthology to get into your reading hands if you’re a fan of our favorite immortal undeads.

A fantastic anthology of spooky, vampiric stories!
I’m normally not one for short stories, but wow do these really pack a punch! They were all so atmospheric, so different in their own ways. I thoroughly enjoyed reading them! I think the breakdown chapter from Zoraida and Natalie after every story really added to the impact of the stories, and the anthology put together. I loved it.
