I am new to Louise Penny, but I can honestly say, I am in love with this writer. She is an awesome storyteller. The description of the location, where the story took place, just beautiful. It had me take a look at Travelocity, to see the cost of visiting, Charlevoix, which I plan to do. This is the best story I have read all year. Full character development and storyline. I relished the story. A love story/mystery, it doesn't get any better than that. I will purchase this book to add to my library.

Holy shit! I love that a character in the book actually said that when things started to unravel toward the end of this book. I think it was Myrna.

Also…what the hell, Louise?!?!? I have never liked Peter, and I always hoped he’d be the murderer in one of these books, no matter how obvious that might be. And then he was sent away, and it was nice! This book was incredible though. Redeemed and then stabbed with a hunting knife in the last few pages. I gasped audibly and CRIED when he died from the wound. Holy shit, indeed!
