i genuinely had a good time with this one! i love a good single dad romance (especially if the kid(s) are cute, which she was!!!) but the addition of a live in nanny?? amazing and an OG fave of mine. i also liked the second chance aspect of this as it was a little different and more modern/contemporary which i liked. while i'm normally a hater of 3rd act breakups and the quick resolutions that surround them, i actually liked this one and found it realistic for them.

“You can’t plan your whole future just because of one bad day from the past.”

Saw this in bookstagram and thought I should try it out during my beach vacation thinking that I could easily finish this book during the trip, which I did after 3 days. I enjoyed reading this more than I thought I would, actually, and that surprised me, given the synopsis. I love the interactions between the two MCs and it wasn’t even focused on her being a camgirl and him being her biggest subscriber. It legit focused on her being a nanny to his daughter. It was a slow-burn type of interaction where I was just there wishing they be together already, but of course, it’s not that simple, especially given the situation they both were in. But once they’d given in, I was there for it. The spice of this is more than I can take, tbh, and I’m living for it!

The only two downsides for me is the fact that this is unrealistic and the ending. It’s sort of unrealistic in a way that a previous camgirl and her subscriber would be “fated” to work together. Although, I love it because it gives hope for girls who are in that line of work but I doubt there would be an Aiden in one of their subscribers. Unfortunately, the ending was a miss for me. I hate endings such as that were it was all “I’m leaving because it’s for the best” and then ended up being miserable because of it. Then after awhile, the two MCs get back together after talking. It just pain me to see all those wasted time where in fact, they could just easily talk it out.

Nonetheless, I had fun reading it! Thanks for the fun read during my vacation!

I bought this book thanks to the viral Taylor Swift paragraph, and I went out on a limb, as I don't tend to like single-parent romances, but the plot seemed interesting and unique, with good potential for some excellent steamy scenes.

Unfortunately, this book fell really flat for me, and I started skimming 100 pages in. The conversations were repetitive and felt forced, to a point. I didn't really feel the chemistry between the two main characters (though the spice was nice, even if I wished that the author leaned into the OF parts a bit more). Honestly, my favorite parts were the OnlyFans conversations between each chapter, and I found myself skimming to get to the next one.

I was really excited when we seemed like we were going to avoid the

I'd probably try another book by this author, as I thought the writing was good, but could have used a heavier hand by an editor in regard to the overall organization of the story.

The third act conflict (which we all know is coming in romance books) wraps up too fast. Not enough discussion and actual resolution. Honestly the slow burn tension of the first half was amazing but I wish there was a bit more in the second half.

I listened to this book because I saw someone say that it was really well-acted. I would disagree. The actors were fine, but not spectacular. I wouldn't pick up this audiobook over the written version unless you usually read audiobooks.

The last 20% of this book was beyond predictable, which made the FMC and MMC's actions all the more annoying. It's a testament to the author's writing that I actually wanted to see it through to the end; weaker writing would've made it a DNF.

As romance novels go, this is safely now an all-time favorite. It takes a bit for the spice to arrive, but when it does it doesn't stop. It's a sweet story with lovable characters and an engaging narrative. One of the things I love most about this book is that it's completely sex-positive and involves both partners demonstrating consent both initially and as their relationship progresses. I also felt that the alternating first person perspective was important to the reader's experience of the story and very well executed!

1/4 star deduction because Cassie's awkwardness is a bit over-dramatized for a good portion of the beginning of the story which was frankly hard to read and almost bordered on making her unlikeable for me. ALMOST.

Very spicy romance book, do not let the cover fool you! I really liked the character Wanda. This was a great second chance romance book and I especially loved the snippets from the chats from back in time.
