This was a stunning book. Highly descriptive, beautiful but complex characters and still able to respectfully approach complex and traumatic topics like ptsd, cancer and domestic violence.

Set in Australia and written by a Brisbane based author, this book felt familiar without feeling forced. For a while I wasn't sure where the story was going but once it heading down the path it did I didn't want it to end.

This is one book which will have me wondering about the characters and their lives beyond the book for weeks to come.
