A tad disappointed, I was expecting more from this book but seemed lacking. A good concept but the excecution left a little to be desired. Not much added from the authors beyond outlining ideas and quoting the likes of Seneca, Albert Einstein.
The only plus for me is a new (to me) concept of logotherapy and an interest in pursuing some exercise like Yoga.
2/5
A quick read but not life changing.

This book was extremely useful for me given the time of life I'm in. I needed to step back and truly reflect again on the original purpose and passion that I was born with and have always carried in my life. I got distracted by salary, job titles, and the things that often adults hold on to. But this book helped me to reflect on what's really important and I am now committed to only looking for roles and opportunities that align with my purpose and my passion. I recommend getting the workbook that goes along with this book as well.

Vapid collection of tidbits "based on science" but without any sources. Does a lot of circumnavigating the topic of ikigai, mainly focuses on purported ways to lengthen your life, and never actually gets to the point of how one should discover an ikigai (life purpose).
