I just finished reading this book with my seven-year old nephew.

This is a great story about a renegade cat who don't need nobody but who also ain't afraid to do the right thing. What I learned from this book is that it's always wise to form connections with stray animals because one day when your houseboat inexplicably catches on fire there's a chance that they might ring a very fortunately placed bell and save your life.


As an aside, who knew that "cannil" aka "canal" could be a cause of so much confusion, jeepers.
