I don’t know if I’m qualified to give a valid opinion since I didn’t finish but I reread this book about 4 times and stopped about 3/4ths into it and I was trying so hard to see the appeal. This book is shit. I’m not sorry. I couldn’t finish lol it’s just a waist of time. I literally laugh at anything under the sun but found this annoying and stupid. ooop

I'm not typically very big on books with very little plot, but I'm giving this a higher rating than normally would because it's work of classic science fiction and it's really obvious why it's so beloved. I also do appreciate British humor quite a bit and this gave me big "Monty Python in space" vibes

This was a really great read. Effortless.

This was a funny little book. I am happy I read it but I don’t think I’ll ever re read it or continue the series. The characters were silly but honestly nothing happened in the book.

Since the original concept was intended to be listened to, I did so by audiobook. There are definitely many funny moments and memorable characters, but as a stand-alone story/novel, HG2TG did not leave me wanting to continue on to the next installment. In the end, I was not very attached to the characters or story. Again, there were some very funny moments, but the lack of an ending or a great cliffhanger likely brings my journey with this series to an end.
