I do this thing where I immediately finish a book and go to this app and give it a nice generous rating because let’s be honest it doesn’t take much to please me in the land of fiction and then days later i think maybe i was too nice however THAT will NOT be the case with this book i loved it SOOOOOOOOOO much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These characters are literally PERFECT for one another i cannot emphasize how i havent felt like two people go together like this ever maybe i was aching and crying and this is embarrassing to be posting on the internet for people to see but the chemistry in these words were actually so palpable like WOW!!!!! I cannot even describe it into words how i feel about this fictional couple also ITS FUNNY????? Like actually a laugh out loud book. Maybe this is just me doing my nice generous thing too hard but i seriously loved this book so thanks book of the month

I’m surprised this is a debut novel! Thoughtful writing with wit, banter, and the right amount of tension between the protagonists. You’ve got the messy, commitment-phobic comedian with a stable yet anxious chef which, together, amounts to enemies, to worse enemies, to friends, and so on. I don’t typically gravitate towards romances but I would definitely read more from this author. Her voice is unique and flows so well, reading like a grittier Emily Henry.
