Picked up off the free book shelves at work. Really not my cup of tea - writing fairly dreadful, sorry slow, bitty and gossipy, character introduced as a Gypsy apparently simply because he was Irish with a stereotype name. I love a light comfort read but this was not it. I think it was supposed to be set in some sort of chocolate box north? All the characters had ee by gum names and were introduced with heavy handed descriptions where their appearances and names were basically personalities. There was however a shop keeper described as having a bust like a bay window which I did think was marvellous.
